OP-FTIR-G1
Classic OP-FTIR for measuring HAPS, VOC’s, and Ambient Air Pollutants

The original G2-OP was introduced in 1995. The classic bench-over-telescope OP-FTIR is a proven configuration for both fixed and mobile applications. Legacy customers and clients who invested in the RAM2000 product line can still purchase new OP-G1 systems or procure parts for existing ones.
- Rugged design for continuous operation
- Field-proven reliability that sets the industry standard
- Advanced signal processing produces minimum detection limits
- Single autopositioner unit monitors multiple fencelines
Specifications for the OP-FTIR-G1
CONFIGURATION: Monostatic FTIR spectrometer for fenceline, open-path and remediation appplications.
INTERFEROMETER: Continuous scan Michelson interferometer; Dual porch swing mirror suspension; Manually-adjustable fixed mirrors; HeNe laser frequency calibration.
RANGE: Up to 1.5 km distance, spectrometer to retro-reflector.
SPECTRAL RANGE: 700 to 4,000 cm-1.
RESOLUTION: 0.5 cm-1 maximum.
MINIMUM DETECT LEVELS (MDL): Detection limits for chemicals measured by open-path FTIR systesm will vary depending on the chemical , atmospheric conditions (humidity and temperature) and whether interfering chemicals may be present. The range of detection limits for a 100 meter separation between the transmitter/receiver telescope and the retro-reflector is from 0.1 to 15 ppb for most infrared-active chemicals.
DETECTOR: Mercury cadmium telluride (MCT) detector element; Liquid nitrogen cooled for minimal noise contribution; Vacuum Dewar with 24-hour refill cycle; LN2 automatic Dewar refill system, 60-day unattended operation, depending on supply Dewar size.
QA CELL: Integrated 15-cm gas cell with ZnSe windows for Quality Assurance. The cell has stainless steel quick disconnect fittings and a safety pressure relief valve.
OP-FTIR-G2
MATURE AIR MONITORING TECHNOLOGY USED FOR REGULATORY COMPLIANCE WORLDWIDE

The G2-OP is engineered for permanent installations in refineries, petrochemical plants, and industrial sites. It stands as the premier solution for regulatory compliance in long-term, unattended fence-line monitoring. Featuring a thermally controlled bench for exceptional stability, it accommodates fixed and multi-pass cells for precise QA/QC. The system includes an integrated auto-positioner for multiple beam paths and a built-in weather station for generating pollution roses. The G2-OP provides automatic trigger and warning alarms, automatic data averaging, and seamless integration for web-based data publishing.
Specifications for the OP-FTIR-G2
Bistatic: The infrared energy is received from a remote infrared source placed at a far distance from RAM2000 G2. In this configuration the G2 operates as a detector/reciever to a remotely located (active) infrared transmitter.
Monostatic Retro-Reflector: A harmless beam of (active) infrared energy is propagated out of the system through one of three optional telescopes to a remote reflector called a Retro Reflector. The retro-reflector returns the infrared beam to G2 sensor where the super-cooled detector records the infrared spectrum. Active Monostatic configuration is the preferred method of open-path monitoring for ease of setup and spectral processing. Active Monostatic configuration is the preferred method of open-path monitoring for ease of setup and spectral processing.
Passive: Energy from a heated plume, the sky, or other source is used in place of a remote source.
